The Lost Bolas

Finally the all four of us were able to meet up for a proper picnic session!

We decided on Marina South Pier because the last time Susana and I chickened out of some event and we landed there; to our surprise it was quite a peaceful, windy and chill place! There were just some joggers and bits and pieces of human beings here and there but it was not crowded at all!

I prepared fried rice, Stephanie finger food, Susana desserts and Peipei sandwiches and snacks. We had some difficulty getting the mat on the ground because the wind was too strong.

We looked around and saw that we were the only people with mat and proper food; the rest just sat along the coast and chill with drinks or snacks... We didn't give too much thought about it and just laughed it off.

The sky was really blue and I was worried that it might rain because I checked the weather forecast and there claimed to be some scattered storms... Luckily we didn't kena.

Managed to capture some pictures which were so-so because of the strong wind and lack of tripod to capture us all.

Here's a photo of the picnic!

So just when we were about to munch on the first bite of our fried rice, we saw a stray dog walk past us. It was walking away from us so we just kept a lookout in case it came back.

Then it really came back. It didn't walk towards us but it was hovering around our area. We became very alert and stopped eating, and we realised that there was another stray dog omg. So we hurriedly pack our stuff and carry all our barang barang to the MRT station before the dogs came to us. I have never siam from a scene so fast before in my life.

No wonder nobody holds a proper picnic there...
HAHAHA our picnic was so fail and we legit only stayed there for like 30 mins?
T_T

Looking at the MRT map, we decided on our old location, and that is, Botanic Gardens. As usual.

Of course we didn't behave like fishes out of water because everyone holds picnics there. We finally managed to settle down and eat our food in peace. Had a really great time catching up and chit-chatting about what-nots.

We were having so much trouble stacking jellies to make a temporary tripod for my camera but to no avail and this little boy offered to help us take a photo and yay, here we go!

Then there was this guy who was on a dare and he came to give us free food. Unfortunately the snacks were soggy and the pasta was so-so HAHAHA but he was really nice about it and we were actually quite full to take in more food as well, so...

And maybe because it was near National Day, the security was pretty tight. Like, you can't fly any sort of drones and you can't pitch tents there. Not sure whether it was an old rule but this was the first them I saw people on buggy moving around catching people. Aiya, better to avoid these activities than be sorry.

Chilled at Bishan after that and walked around a lil before we head home.

Twas a great day!
